Week two
This book is about a black girl named Dana who one day gets drowsy and then goes back to slave times. When she got their, she looked around and found a little red head boy drowning in a lake. she swam out to the boy and saved him. Then his dad took out his gun and threatened her with it. Then she got dizzy again and went back two her time. Why did this happen?
I really liked this book. I would recommend this book to any one but their a lot of bad topics in this book.

Slice of life #6
Well, one night I was on a redeye to Mexico and had nothing to do. I asked my mom if I could watch TV on the plane and she said yes. The problem was, that their was absolute crap on the TV called Jessie or something like that. So, I tried to learn all of the capitols in the USA. I failed but at lest it was fun trying to learn them all.

Kindred by Octavia Butler
Kindred is about two people who are kindred to each other. Dana is a young woman who lives in 1970's California. Rufus is a boy that lives in the south when slaves are going on. One day Dana got dizzy and when back to Rufus time. when she look around she saw a young boy drawing in a lake. Dana saved the youth boy. Who was the boy? Will Dana get back her time? why did she go back in time?
I loved this book. It was a great book. Their are some rough topics in this book though but is a great book. I would recommend it to anyone.

Slice of life #5
So, we had just got to the store and helen had already picked out two things the my mom let her get! I had asked my mom if i could get something too and she said no. I was so mad! I said why dose Helen get to pick something out from the store and I don't? She answered "too bad life is not fair!". I made a packed to never go to the store with my mom. Then the next week we were driving home from school when she stopped at the grocery store and let me pick out something and did not let helen get any thing. then I was happy.

Thanksgiving SOL
Thanksgiving is my favorite day of the whole year! Every thanksgiving I go to my Ant and uncles house. In the morning, we all watch the Macy's thanksgiving day parade. When that is over we all watch the thanksgiving day dog show. After that we go to little Cheaseman park to play our families annual thanksgiving day football game "not soccer". This is my favorite part of the whole day. Next my family all ways watches a movie. When the movie is done, we go home to change into nice cloths for thanksgiving dinner. By the time we get all changed and go back to my ant and uncles house and are ready to start dinner, it is 7:30. we normally finish dinner and dessert my 9:40 and then talk to about 11:00 than we go home and thanksgiving is over.

The Martian
Week Two

Mark has almost all of Earth hoping for his return from Mars. NASA has come up with a lot of ideas on how to bring Mark back alive. All of them are risky and dangerous and to say the least, expensive. Will Mark make it out of Mars alive? Or nah.
This book is my new favorite book. I really liked this book because of all of the science in the book. The one downside is that this book had a lot of bad words in it. This book took me a long time to read, but it was worth it. The Martian is also kind of an adult book.

Slice of life #3
Their was three seconds left on the clock. I was playing in a snowy championship game in a soccer tournament in pueblo. I was so cold, I could hardly breath without coughing. It was 5 degrees and we were still playing anyway back to the slice. Their was three seconds left and their was a foul just outside of the box. My team was winning by 1 goal and the other team was taking the shot. I was in the goal. It was the longest three seconds of my life. I other guy slide back on the snow and the shot hit the cross bar. We had won!

All of Ares 3 left Mark on Mars thinking that he was dead. Mark though, was alive and got stranded on Mars. Mark was the sixth man of a six manned team. Mark will have to live on Mars until ares 4 comes in 4 years. How will Mark a botanist survive?
I am really enjoying this book a lot. It is a really long book and it takes a long time to read. I would recommend this book to people like Gavin!

Slice of dream #2
My best dream ever was when in my dream I hit a buzzer beater to win the game. We were losing by 2 points when I got subbed in at center. My coach told me just to get the rebound a hopefully if their was time left on clock to have a quick shot. Their was something like 2 seconds left on the clock. We got the pass into a player who took a shot and missed. I got the shot off right as the Buzzer sounded. The shot went in a got fouled. Of course I made the free throw to win the game. The people in the building went crazy and the play made sports center top ten. Then I woke up and realized that it was just a dream.

Did you know that their is a mental illness that is called synesthesia? Well a thirteen year old girl named Mia has it. Synesthesia make it hard for Mia in school and having friends. Synesthesia is when someone's brain hears or sees something, their brain matches colors the words. Will Mia figure out how to deal with this problem and use it to her advantage?
I really like this book. the ending was a little sad but not too bad. This was a really fast read for me. I would recommend this book to people who like sad and happy books at the same times.

Cave of the Winds

Peter is gone form the island and the other kids on the island are exploring the island when they find a cave. All of the kids want to go into this cave beaus they is treasure in this cave. Legend has it that this cave is hunted by the Goatman. This does not stop the Kids as they go looking for the treasure. Caption Hook also wants to find the treasure. Who will find the treasure first?
This book was okay. It was a really fast read for me. I would recommend it to people who like action and suspense books. My favorite character was the man guarding the treasure. I liked him because he was being really nice and helping the kids when they were in the cave.

Treasure Island

Billy is a pirate that gets drunk on rum way to much. All of the rum causes Billy to have a stroke. Billy thought that he would die from this stroke so he tells Jim where he had burred high valued treasure. Billy lives this stroke but only to die of another one shortly after this one. When Jim finds this the teaser he also finds a map that leads to more treasure.
This book is about Jim trying to find the treasure. I kind of liked this book but not that much. I would recommend it to like 5th or 6th grade people. It was a short read

Time is ticking for Eden and Day to give there answer about Eden's giving his blood as a treatment to the Colonies. The Colonies got tired of waiting and attacked Denver forcing everyone to evacuate to San Francisco. When someone close to Day got the sick that was the same sickness the colonies had, Day choose to let Eden give is blood for a medicine for the sickness. When Eden's blood is not a match who's blood is?
I loved all of the books in this trilogy! These were most likely the best books I have ever read in my life. This book is the last book in the trilogy. I would highly advise you to read the other two books before reading this one other wise you will not understand most of the book. I would recommend this book to any one. There was a lot of kissing and other stuff but you should still this book.

The vires that Eden had, got to the Colines and they threatened to go to war with the Republic if they did not give them a medicine to stop it. Will Day risk his brother or the whole country?
I really liked this book a lot. I am bummed that this is the last book in the trilogy. I love the Trilogy. they where my favorite books ever! I would recommend this book to anyone. Their is a little bit of inaporpreit stuff but not too bad.

Flora and Ulysses by Kate Dicamillo
Flora is upstairs reading when she heard a loud sound coming from someones backyard. She looked outside to see a vacuum running crazy. Flora ran outside to see what was happening. A squirrel was stuck in the vacuum. Flora saw the squirrel who had just picked up the vacuum and threw it! Could this be a super squirrel?
I really did not enjoy this book. I thought that it was meant for kids in second or third grade. I would suggest it to anyone who needs a fast read.

Genre: Action/Love
Both Day and June got out of Los Angles. During this process Day's leg got even worse than before. This and the thought that the republic might kill Eden Day and June both diced to join the patriots. With the old elector dead the patriots what Day and Junes help to kill him. Will June back out and stay true too to the republic or will she and Day carryout the plans to assassinate the new elector primo?
I really injoyed this book a lot. It was a defint page turner. I really liked the ending the best out of the whole book. I was really shocked and now I really want to read the next Book Champion.

Prodigy Post One of Two Week Book June and Day both leave Los Angles and go to the Patriots for help. The Patriots agree to help them but at one cost, June and Day both have to help kill Aden the new leader. When June finds out that her brother's killer did it because he was forced to will she go back to the republic? So far, I am really enjoying this book. I think that first one was better but i still like this one. I would highly chose this book for anyone who likes action packed love books.

Legend takes place in America in the future. Day is the most wanted criminal in all of America and it is June's the republics teen prodigy's job to catch him. June's older brother Matias is killed by Day. As you get farther into this book, you might notices that Day could be innocent. I would highly recommend this book to anyone. I said above that it was futuristic but it is a lot more then just that. It has romance, war, and a lot more of other genre's.
