       I was so hungry I was going to die. Dad Please make the steak because I am supper hungry and I want to light the candles and get the first night of Hanukkah. He said OK. I went to set up the menorah. I got out Six candles. Two for me, Two for my sister, and Two for my dad. ( My mom is not Jewish so she does not have one). I put the candles in. My dad got the prayers out and my mom got the camera out. 

    We light the shamus and started to light the candles.  Then we had to say another prayer one since it was the first night of Hanukkah. When we finished my dad went to get the gifts. This is the best part for me. Then he gave me my present, then helens. We both opened them at the same times. She got a itunes gift card and I got a video game for my xbox one.

The Pact Week Two

This week I  the book named the pact. The pact is about three boys who live in the hood of New Jersey. This is the story of how they survived the streets and became doctors. When Sam, George, and Rameck where in high school, they made a pact to become doctors. This is the story of how they stayed true to the pact that they made and became doctors. I really loved this book. My favorite character was Rameck. I liked that he became friends with George and Sam even though they where already close friends with each other. I thought that it was really cool that for the most part, all of the boys stated out of  trouble unlike the other kids growing up. I really liked it because it was a true story of boys who made the best out of what they had.

The Pact
Week: 1/2

             This week I read/ currently reading a great book. This book is named the pact. The pact is about Three black boys growing up in the "hood". All of the men share one thing in common, They all want to become doctors. This is a book about who the survive the hood and the struggles that happen to become doctors. This is a great book. It so far has been my favorite book that I have read all year. It is sometimes hard to follow because it is written from three different perspectives but not too hard. WARNING!! Their are a ton of bad subjects in this book.

 This week I read the book called flipped. This is a book about two people. One of these persons is a mail the other person is a field female. When they first meet the girl liked the boy named  flipped. This is a book about two people. One of these persons is a male the other person is a  female. When they first met  Bryce  the boy did not like the girl. But the girl Loved Bryce. She loved every thing about him.  She especially liked his eyes. This story is told from both sides  throughout them growing up and being near each other.

I really love this book. I don't really like for Mansi books which this was but I still like this book. I really enjoyed how it was written. I like the idea I really love this book. I don't really like for romance  books which this was but I still liked this book. I really enjoyed how it was written. I like the idea that  this book could follow them growing up and how they act around each other.  I give this book a 3.5 out of five rating and would recommend it to people like romance books.

SOL Trip

I love snorkeling! I just love watching all the cool fish swim by. When I heard that we were going too go snorkeling, I was super happy when I heard that we were going to go snorkeling. I was the looking forward to this trip because of the snorkeling. It was a bummer because the first time that we went my mask was broken so i got too snorkel for about 5 min before i got stung by a sea urchin. But then the next time we went when we went to the north shore and sharks cove to snorkel, my mask was fixed and it was super fun although, I did get stung by another sea urchin which was not fun. I had a overall great time snorkeling in Hawaii and saw some great fish!

 Hurricane Song

This book was so far my favorite book that I have read this year and i have read a lot of books this year. I would recommend it to anyone in our class. It was a really great book. It is about a boy who lives in New Orleans when the big hurricane Katrina came. This is the story of how he his dad and his uncle deal with the hurricane. They end up in the super dome where every thing is crazy inside. Too make things worse, some mean people from his high school football team are their.
